Charlie (Mark Wahlberg) has just led his team of thieves to victory with a heist job well done. As they celebrate and pat themselves on the back for their success, they are blindsided when they’re double-crossed by a close friend, Steve (Edward Norton) intent on keeping all the gold they stole for himself. Charlie’s mentor, John (Donald Sutherland) who was planning on retiring after this job, dies in the altercation.

Months pass and the team has all gone their separate ways, but Charlie is intent on getting the gang back together again for one more heist. He wants revenge. He wants to get Steve back for what he’s done, and so he enlists the help of his old team as well as John’s safe-breaking daughter, Stella (Charlize Theron). It won’t be easy--Steve is sneaky and aware of them at every turn. Will Charlie and the team avenge John’s death and finally take back what’s theirs?
